Inklings Paperie & Other Love Notes

We love scouting new brands, sucking the inspo from them and sharing it with you, our readers. Inklings Paperie is one of those brands that makes it so easy for us to share. Not much lead story for me to type here. Truthfully, just take a look at their products. The creativity is epic. We want to be them. Or, at least own all of their products LOL….

Favorite Umbrellas for Kids

They love them and get true joy from using one when it rains. We get soaked helping them use them when it rains. The umbrella - the ultimate accessory for kiddos. Recently we picked out a few really cute ones. Hey, if you’re going to get soaked they might as well look super cute, right?! I still have vivid memories from my childhood of pinching myself every. single. time. I went to close my umbrella haha. BUT I still had to have it on a rainy day! Enjoy some of Bitsy’s favorite umbrella picks for kiddos below. (PS - any of these would make a fun stocking stuffer!)…

Flower Girls

A few weeks ago (back in August) Lucy and Greer were flower girls in Mike’s cousin’s wedding. It was their first time flower girl-ing and boy did they nail it. More importantly, they fully enjoyed every single second of it! I rocked proud mama eyes the whole day. The bride was super…

Calling All Planners!

All of the Type A’s raise your hand ✋. Yup. I admit it. I can’t help myself. Planning is my thang. Its what makes me tick. However, now that I’ve got 2 other little beings to keep in check, I also must admit that my life has gotten into a jumble one too many times. I’ve signed myself up for (what I thought) was a fool-proof, “will not skip a deadline” calendar and planning system and it always falls to pieces. So, I’ve just recently learned about the

Back to School - The Backpack Edit

As much as I am dreading the start of school, it is time to start shopping for the little ones so parents are prepared and the kids are excited. Since back to school shopping can be overwhelming, exhausting and annoying, we've decided to share our “back to school” edits with you. We are sharing the backpacks that we feel are worthy choices. Reasons being…these are the bags that pack a good style punch (yet, not something your kiddos will get sick of easily - or you!), the bags we feel are functional for elementary schoolers to carry,

New Baby

When a family member or friend have a new baby it is sometimes tricky to come up with the right care package to bring them to let them know how excited you are! Food + nourishment, something for the little one to wear or use and a hug. When that meal-train email comes through you can hop on it without stress. Through the years, I have honed in on my go-to care package - what peeps need (+ want!), a package that is not too expensive that is also easy to put together. Let’s face it - when I make others dinner normally my own family suffers and eats eggs that night! Today Im sharing my “new baby care package” jam with you. My gig is tried and true and easy…

Bitsy Favorite for the Itsy...PETIT PEONY!

We’ve been following Petit Peony for a while and always love their creations. Every season we feel like they move the bar higher - on cuteness, on quality and on common sense clothing for children. PP reminds us of clothing our moms used to put us in. Clothing that will last in bins for generations to come. Silhouettes, fabrics and patterns we will never regret and that can transition from a family photo shoot to a playground. Well, their spring/summer 2019 collection is definitely one worth sharing, so if you haven’t peaked at it yet now is your chance….

Namaste + Little Yogis

We recently came across a show on the Amazon Prime app called Cosmic Kids Yoga. Our girls are obsessed with it. Like, ask to do yoga before breakfast obsessed. So since they’ve been consistent with this show and really enjoy doing yoga together along with Jaime, the host, we decided to gift them their own yoga mats. Lucy is obsessed with owls and Greer loves anything with birds, so we chose these mats for them…

Mudroom Confessions

I feel like everything has been coming back to our recent farmhouse renovation! Truth be told, the reno really gave us a chance to re-think our processes as a family and get our day-to-day routine back on track. When we lived in our old house we had very limited space, especially downstairs. As Lucy started Kindergarten, the paperwork coming home and her backpack/lunch box/coats/hats/gloves/STUFF just overwhelmed our space and really took over our downstairs. A friend had given me the tip to purchase this Magnetic Wall Folder. It was a place we kept the important papers Lucy and I would need to access frequently (like the letter day rotation schedule, lunch menus,

1st Birthday Paintings

We struggle with finding the right, cool art for our home that not only goes with our aesthetic/decor, but has meaning and isn’t $1M! Finding something we actually WANT to look at all the time that makes us happy for any particular reason. In our old house we were building our collection as we started to build our family so naturally we had a lot of walls to fill.

Valentine Cards!

Just like our Christmas cards this past year, I am outsourcing our Valentine’s! We need easy-peesy. (Mama’s got a lot on her plate in 2019!) Actually, I typically try to do this every year. I find Valentines that the girls can help create, but make sure they aren’t going to take over our lives. A couple of times Ive made the mistake of falling in love with a design that I can’t talk myself out of while telling myself they will be easier than they look. Yet, there I am stressed and overwhelmed! Don’t get me wrong, they are usually worth the time and I end up loving them (like when we did THESE!). It’s just that some years there isn’t time for them to take up more of MY time than my daughters’! All that being said, we’ve been on the hunt for the right Valentines for Lucy and Greer these past few weeks. Here are some of our top picks (source links listed below):
