Easy, Yummy Hot Cocoa!
We’re freezing here in CT this weekend, so we’ve been whipping up batches of our Homemade Hot Cocoa. It is super easy, a crowd pleaser and sooooo delish! Hope it helps keep you warm…
BITSY’S HOT COCOA RECIPE
Milk (we use 2%, but can use any kind)
Unsweetened Cocoa Powder (such as Ghiradelli brand)
Mini Marshmallows (optional)
Pour desired milk amount into your hot cocoa mug to measure. Then pour milk into a sauce pan. Add desired Cocoa Powder amount (for Lucy and Greer’s mugs I usually add about 2-21/2 tablespoons). Now add sugar, one teaspoon at a time (I usually start with one and wait to taste at end to see if it needs more). Heat on medium-high heat, stirring constantly with a whisk until all ingredients incorporate and sugar fully dissolves. Taste. If needed, add more sugar or cocoa powder. When taste is perfect, pour hot cocoa into mug/s and add mini marshmallows on top.
