What We Love Fridays...

Preppy Prodigy is a stationery brand that we’ve been following for quite some time. As we’ve watched their brand grow we’ve become more and more inspired! It is very evident that the thoughtfulness they pour into their brand is genuine and the creativity is innate. They have expanded their collection…

Communion Shoes

I’ve recently received a lot of questions about First Holy Communion dresses and shoes. Lucy makes her Communion on April 27th, so we’re on the “Communion scene” for sure 😜! I’ve been on the hunt for a while. Lu decided to wear my sister, Meredith’s dress. She loves mine, but my sister’s dress suits her perfectly. It fits her perfectly and is so Lucy’s little style. I can’t wait for you to see it! She decided she wants to wear

Bitsy Favorite for the Itsy...PETITE LUCETTE (children + women!)!

Petite Lucette is a brand we’ve been following for a long time. Its a brand we’ve been buying for our girls for a long time. Its a brand we stand behind and have loved watching for a long time. They’ve just launched their first-ever women’s line and we have been so thrilled to share it with you! It is THE BEST and the most well done “Mommy and Me” line we’ve seen (and we’ve been around!) I snagged a few pieces for myself (I went for the Francine skirt in honey, the Georgette Overall in celadon green, the Rimbaud blouse in black thin squares and

Bitsy Favorite for the Itsy...Paper Cape!

A few months back I came across a fabulous little brand named Paper Cape. Their jammies stole my heart, but as I poked through their website I fell in love on every corner. I am a visual person - I love touching and feeling fabrics. I have been doing it for so long that it has become so much a part of who I am. There are those few times, however, when I am online shopping (personally or for Bitsy) when I know (without being able to touch a product) that it is just the right quality fabric and beautifully crafted. Visiting Paper Cape’s website was one of those times. They’ve generously offered Bitsy’s readers a 20% discount so keep reading to learn more…

Bitsy Favorite for the Itsy...PETIT PEONY!

We’ve been following Petit Peony for a while and always love their creations. Every season we feel like they move the bar higher - on cuteness, on quality and on common sense clothing for children. PP reminds us of clothing our moms used to put us in. Clothing that will last in bins for generations to come. Silhouettes, fabrics and patterns we will never regret and that can transition from a family photo shoot to a playground. Well, their spring/summer 2019 collection is definitely one worth sharing, so if you haven’t peaked at it yet now is your chance….

Bitsy x The Realistic Organizer

Motivation Monday at its finest….
Oh boy do we have something FUN to motivate you on this SNOW DAY Monday! We recently paired up with Stefanie Jones of The Realistic Organizer for some home organization projects. Today, we’re sharing all about Stefanie and her amazing company as well as how she transformed a tricky space in our new Living Room built-ins into a tip-top establishment. Before and afters that will leave you saying HALLELUJAH!

It is a known thing that I like to organize. I get such a high off of sorting, purging and re-organizing. Lately, however, we have been so overwhelmed with our renovations that those fun, little projects have become a burden. Enter Stefanie, THE Realistic Organizer.

Greer's Dress Obsession

We were recently asked to collaborate with a brand we didn’t know. After scrolling through the brand’s website - Baby18World - I decided it was worth a shot and their prices were right. I am not one to take on a collaboration unless I believe in the product and would use/put it on my own children. So, as I shopped and picked out what I liked I stuck with a dress theme since that is all Greer wants to wear to school everyday. I figured I would make this collaboration functional and truly wearable and see if Baby18World’s brand could handle it. Not going to lie, their site definitely didn’t speak volumes to me. There are a lot of sites these days that are being advertised on Instagram and

Namaste + Little Yogis

We recently came across a show on the Amazon Prime app called Cosmic Kids Yoga. Our girls are obsessed with it. Like, ask to do yoga before breakfast obsessed. So since they’ve been consistent with this show and really enjoy doing yoga together along with Jaime, the host, we decided to gift them their own yoga mats. Lucy is obsessed with owls and Greer loves anything with birds, so we chose these mats for them…

Mudroom Confessions

I feel like everything has been coming back to our recent farmhouse renovation! Truth be told, the reno really gave us a chance to re-think our processes as a family and get our day-to-day routine back on track. When we lived in our old house we had very limited space, especially downstairs. As Lucy started Kindergarten, the paperwork coming home and her backpack/lunch box/coats/hats/gloves/STUFF just overwhelmed our space and really took over our downstairs. A friend had given me the tip to purchase this Magnetic Wall Folder. It was a place we kept the important papers Lucy and I would need to access frequently (like the letter day rotation schedule, lunch menus,

Everybody Walk The Dinosaur

In honor of my & Other Stories Dino cardigan arrival and Greer’s dino valentine choice we thought it would be a “roar” to share some of Bitsy’s favorite dino-wear that we’ve spotted in the past few weeks. Let’s be honest, dino patterns are popping up everywhere lately so they weren’t tough to find. But we were determined to find some pieces that have that good ‘ol Bitsy swing…

1st Birthday Paintings

We struggle with finding the right, cool art for our home that not only goes with our aesthetic/decor, but has meaning and isn’t $1M! Finding something we actually WANT to look at all the time that makes us happy for any particular reason. In our old house we were building our collection as we started to build our family so naturally we had a lot of walls to fill.

#MomFail

Having a little one during the Holidays is challenging - for many reasons. But if you want to know honestly, what I find most difficult during the Holiday prep season when kids are 3-5 years old is how their “Santa List” changes at a rapid pace! Greer was 4 this past Christmas and had a very solid Christmas list. I always go for the top 3 and figure I can talk my way (Santa’s way - you’re welcome, big guy!) out of the things they “didn’t get”. Most of the time this isn’t even an issue because my girls are so pumped with what they did receive that they forget about what they didn’t.

Valentine Cards!

Just like our Christmas cards this past year, I am outsourcing our Valentine’s! We need easy-peesy. (Mama’s got a lot on her plate in 2019!) Actually, I typically try to do this every year. I find Valentines that the girls can help create, but make sure they aren’t going to take over our lives. A couple of times Ive made the mistake of falling in love with a design that I can’t talk myself out of while telling myself they will be easier than they look. Yet, there I am stressed and overwhelmed! Don’t get me wrong, they are usually worth the time and I end up loving them (like when we did THESE!). It’s just that some years there isn’t time for them to take up more of MY time than my daughters’! All that being said, we’ve been on the hunt for the right Valentines for Lucy and Greer these past few weeks. Here are some of our top picks (source links listed below):
